Determination of Carbon Steel Dynamic Properties

Taylor anvil test is one of the dynamic method in which we can determine dependences strain, strain rate, temperature on flow stress. With this method, each cross sec-tion or along axial section specimen conditions under different states stress, rates and subsequent changes microstructure material. This paper describes experimental results (TAT) for TRISTAL carbon steel. The experiment was performed a TAT facility Laboratory High Strain Rates at Faculty Mechanical Engineering Brno. For simulation mechanical behavior steel load condition used LS DYNA 3D. also contains Johnson-Cook constitutive equation are compared with results.
